I recently fitted this fan to a 2002 VW Beetle. When I received the fan assembly I noticed that the plastic shroud was of good quality. Even the electrical connections were of really good quality and looked like the originals. Electrical connectors have made installation much easier than some other aftermarket radiator fan assemblies require splice wiring. Installation was simplified as the assembly was perfect and no fine tuning was required as is sometimes required with spare parts. So far, the performance of the fans is identical to that of the original equipment. Also for the curious: Made in Thailand. All in all, considering the fit and finish of the part and the lifetime warranty offered by Dorman, I would definitely recommend this to anyone needing a VW New Beetle radiator fan assembly.
