Sturdy and well-made case. However, this is NOT the hard side. This is a more structured case, but the material has a soft texture. It's not hard plastic. Also, unlike the image provided, there is NO SPACE to store Cricut Joy buns. You can store leftovers, but no more without crunching up the rolls. I'm only keeping it because the price was reasonable and it fits in my Kindle case (laughs).
