Bought for a trip to Ireland. I wanted to avoid a heavy coat but it was going to rain and get cold. The layering of a t-shirt, then a sweater, and then this jacket was perfect. A shirt and sweater kept me warm in temperatures of 48-65 degrees, and the jacket protected me from the rain. There are velcro straps that fit snugly around my wrists, which helps keep the long sleeves from covering my arms and keeping me warm. There is velcro on the flap that closes the zip and buttons on the top and bottom of the zip. The hood wasn't sealed at the seams which could have let rain through, but I didn't have much rain so that wasn't an issue. Very important. For the price I wouldn't fret if it gets torn or lost on a trip. But it didn't happen and I didn't. So he will go with me on a new adventure!
