I have two of these now, one has been used in a lab for a few years and they worked perfectly for what I used them for - connecting input devices (keyboards). , mice, tablets) and USB dongles to many different PCs and tablets. They don't have separate power supplies so aren't great for power-hungry USB peripherals, although I was able to use one for an external hard drive + keyboard and mouse. They proved to be fairly durable in an environment where we're constantly moving equipment, although I wouldn't hit them with a hammer.
