Works perfectly with common peripherals

I have two of these now, one has been used in a lab for a few years and they worked perfectly for what I used them for - connecting input devices (keyboards). , mice, tablets) and USB dongles to many different PCs and tablets. They don't have separate power supplies so aren't great for power-hungry USB peripherals, although I was able to use one for an external hard drive + keyboard and mouse. They proved to be fairly durable in an environment where we're constantly moving equipment, although I

Surface Pro USB Rescuer

It was just what I needed to get the most out of my Surface Pro. The single USB port has been a big issue since I bought this tablet, but now with the mini hub I can connect multiple drives or peripherals and they work just fine. I seriously considered getting a hub specifically for the Surface, but not only did it cost more, it also had fewer ports. Not to mention that if I ever upgraded I wouldn't be able to use it again as another one was made for this particular tablet. However, I will…

A little tiny but doesn't work?!

Just received and tested. I love how tiny this thing is, but I don't like that it doesn't work on any of my current devices. So far I've tried charging: LG Stylo 4, Samsung Galaxy S5, ZTE MaxPro, as well as a "wireless" USB travel light. ALL 3 phones were already 70-80% charged but refused this charger and slowed down the charging time instead of speeding up the charging time. After 15 minutes, phones were up just one percent despite being the only device connected at the time! The lightbulb…

Not happy with that.

The first missions went well. After that there was a hit or miss. We have three laptops in the house and it's unlikely there will ever be enough USB ports to connect all the devices we want to use at the same time. Mouse, printer, flash drive, scanner. So here comes this thing. The first thing to note is that after about a month of use, one of the laptop's USB ports stopped working in no time. Luckily, one port wasn't used and this laptop is still usable. Then the second laptop showed the same…

Works great: USB hubs

Earlier this week I received the Ssabrent 4-port mini USB 3.0 portable hub and tried it right away. I connected it to my Windows 10 PC and it worked straight away. I then connected my iPhone 6 and two high capacity external USB hard drives to this little hub. Without going into unnecessary detail, suffice it to say that all three devices were launched in record time. I downloaded some photos and videos from my iPhone and stored everything on two external hard drives. I then spent a few hours…

Pros
  • Useful for more than its intended purpose
Cons
  • There are nuances

Pro: Works, small (not) l, white and cute. I will use it for applications that have nothing to do with disk or performance. Cons: I bought it because I thought it might (might!) improve throughput between some external drives (I have fewer USB 3.0 ports on my PC than connected external hard drives) or at least free up some ports on my motherboard, but Performance will be reduced by 18% when using this hub during disk-to-disk copying. Tests: - When disk 1 is copied to disk 2 and both are…

Pros
  • Looking forward to it
Cons
  • A few little things

The perfect solution for my unusual situation.

This USB hub is exactly what I was looking for. Recently I had to be in a wheelchair. I struggled with this for years, but multiple falls and back pain from spinal canal stenosis, Parkinson's disease and just old age made it necessary. The chair is one of those powered models, and it's perfectly capable of going up to six miles per hour, recline fully, rise to table height, and more. I'm not sure what they do. One of the features is the USB3. The connector is hot, so it works even when the…
