I have had many of these readers over the years. They generally work as advertised and are good value for money. There's really nothing to write about. However, this reader has the best CF card slot I've seen, apart from the one that's part of the expensive professional audio gear. Tolerances are exact; There is no doubt that the card is properly seated (a problem with some readers that mount a very short connector slightly behind the front panel) and the slot is deep enough to ensure precise alignment. The only mechanical issue I've noticed is that there are *tiny* rough edges on the long edges of the aluminum plate around the map cutouts. If the tolerances are small, this can lead to scratches on the inserted card. I removed the sharp edges with a few sweeps of the blade of the steel blade (trying to do this with the face of the tool *down* so the metal shavings don't get in) and then brushed off any remaining burrs with some fine grit sandpaper. The fact that this reader connects via USB 3.0 (via a USB-C port) means it's *fast*. This is really important when transferring large WAV files from a studio to a computer.
