UPDATE: Unfortunately I have to update my rating from excellent to not very good. It works well, but after only a few months it has a really bad odor that no amount of essential oil can mask. I don't know how to describe the smell...it's musty. I've descaled it several times with vinegar and nothing seems to get rid of the smell. I've cleaned it many times as recommended, but it doesn't matter. Because the tank is so small, it only lasts 2 nights before needing to be refilled. Very uncomfortable. So the only difference between this humidifier and the standard humidifier is really the looks and the timer. I wouldn't buy this again. ……………. ORIGINAL REVIEW: I have been using a Honeywell humidifier so far. My biggest problem with Honeywell is that 1) you have to detach the huge tank, turn it upside down to fill it, then slowly bring it back to base, and 2) you have to light it up! I'm a very light sleeper and we tried wrapping it with black tape but the light comes out through the tank! So when I stumbled across this humidifier and saw that it had a sleep mode and top fill, you knew I was dying to get it! I wasn't expecting much (I never did) but WOW! I LOVE this thing! This sleep mode in particular is the most useful ever! Another thing I liked that's easy to miss is the fact that the top nozzle rotates 360°! I only recently discovered that Honeywell is not a 360 (which is stupid, it could and should be easy!). I also LOVE the sleek all white design of this model! It goes perfectly with my white bedside table and suits my contemporary aesthetic. Honestly, I see nothing wrong with this humidifier!
