Review on Janome 8002D Serger Machine by Jennifer Roberts

This is a good machine but not great. In the end I returned it. I'll cover it for you: Pros: It comes with pre-threaded spools of white thread (nice!), blindhem foot, extra needles, and the tools you'll need (tweezers, big and small). screwdriver, pedal and instructions). Since it's already threaded, you can start sewing right away, especially if you're experienced with overlock machines. It's relatively quiet, small and compact (great if you're short on space), and fairly light, with a notch on the back that doubles as a carrying handle. It also has a decent motor and good stitching. Disadvantages: Even though I kept the tension pretty low, at "3", it goes all the way up to 9 or 10, my threads kept breaking, causing me to have to refill the machine often. It was a real bummer, not to mention a time killer. Threading was not difficult for me, but I have many years of experience with overlock machines, and as soon as one thread broke, another followed. Every time I took it out to sew I had to waste time refilling it. It was terribly frustrating. I really wanted to like this machine but ended up returning it. It was terribly frustrating.
