Review on ☕ Ariete Electric Coffee Grinder - Conical Burr, Heavy Duty Stainless Steel, Ultra Fine Grind with Adjustable Cup Size, 15 Settings for Fine to Coarse Grind Size by Randy Butler

Very good grinder for the price!

I was replacing a Cuisinart grinder that had become so dull over the years that my medium ground coffee was half medium and half very fine dust which was clogging the pour cone. I also use light roast coffees, which are harder to grind. I found that one of the burrs on my Cuisinart wasn't easy to replace, so it was time for a new grinder. Ariete-Delonghi's grinder has several characteristics that make it punch holes above its weight class. First, the bean hopper is detachable even when filled with beans. Second, the grind size has 15 different numbers with clicks between the numbers, giving you about 30 grind size options. Third, the start/stop button gives a manual override if you make a mistake in the settings and find it's happening mid-sand. There are a few very small imperfections that I would correct if I were a designer, but they are really very small. Firstly, the display that determines the duration of the coffee grinder is reset to continuous after each grind. I would keep the last setting. Second, removing and replacing the ground coffee container is difficult, but becomes second nature after a few times. One thing that's either not listed in the manual, or that I've overlooked, is that the first "time" setting is continuous, hence the importance of the start/stop button. Overall, this is a very reliable and well-made coffee grinder. The stainless steel grinders are truly tapered, unlike the similarly priced Cuisinart, and do a great job of evenly grinding lightly roasted coffee. Edited to add that this grinder is also much quieter than the Cuisinart grinder. I can't say how quiet it is compared to more expensive coffee grinders, but I find it very quiet.
