I bought this to add bulk to my Seachem Tidal Filter and was pleased to find that at around 40 pores per inch it has a much healthier texture than the very coarse 20 pores per Customs service. inch standard sponge. Although the standard sponge offers space for bacterial colonization, it does not filter really well. This replacement sponge TUT. I will probably exchange the sponge with 20 pores for another one.
