Conceptually and backed by positive reviews, I thought this product sounded like a safe and viable approach to dusting off my Nikon D850's touchscreen glass. In accordance with the instructions for use, I first cleaned the gel with the adhesive paper provided to ensure it was in perfect condition for use, free of any contamination from product manufacture and packaging. First he touched it very lightly on the glass to be as careful as possible, he couldn't remove any dust or stains that should be dust. Same for 2nd use after you clean it again on sticky paper first before another use. On the third try I applied a little more pressure but still which I think is softer than the instructions or what I saw others say seemed to imply but even with that light touch I saw what was on the Trace of glass remained. it came from the gel cube itself. With patient effort I was able to remove most of it as I was afraid I would continue using the Eyelead stick but had no alternative. In the end I didn't want to be too aggressive though so I stopped and then ordered some Eclipse solution and transducer swabs. After they arrived I was able to remove the remaining eyelead gel from the sensor glass but also left a few new spots which overall added nothing but disappointment. I'd also like to add that I found the size of the gel cube seemed large since it was difficult to use near the inner corners and edges, so I just assumed it would when I used the wand carefully positioning near the edge of the glass would actually get to those places. Again, I found it more difficult to use than the Eclipse Solution Sensor Swab. However, rather than returning this rather expensive product, I've decided to keep it as another tool in my toolbox, although it won't be my first article on dusting the sensor glass or a similar task.
