Review on πŸ₯„ RSVP Measuring Spoons 1/4 Teaspoon - Stainless Steel, Single Spoon (2-Pack) by Brandi Mclaurin

Well done but inaccurate

I bought these RSVP brand teaspoon measuring spoons to dose my hot peppers like the California Reaper flakes I eat every day. I have purchased both 1/4 teaspoon and 1/8 teaspoon RSVP brand in the same style. I have two old 1 teaspoon measuring cups and I also bought a plastic 1/2 teaspoon measuring cup here at Revain. I checked the volumes of all the measuring cups and found that the large 1 teaspoon measuring cups held the same amount of water and it took two 1/2 teaspoon measuring cups to fill the 1 teaspoon measuring cups the way it should. When I came across this brand of RSVP dipsticks, I found that they both contained more water than advertised. The 1 teaspoon measurements only included 3.2 1/4 teaspoon measurements instead of 4, and the 1/8 teaspoon measurements only overflowed at 6.5 instead of filling in at 8. So I don't trust the accuracy of this RSVP stamp in terms of sizing. . It's a shame because I really like knives. The handles are long so I don't have to worry about pepper flakes getting on my fingers and spreading. The volume is clearly stamped on the handle. They are easy to clean. They are heavy and don't feel flimsy or fragile. They only need a fill line to indicate where to fill to get an accurate cooking measurement. I will still use them to measure out my pepper flakes because it's not a recipe I need to be precise or consistent with, but I wouldn't use them for cooking otherwise. 3.5/5 stars
