Review on ๐Ÿ–ฅ๏ธ SunFounder Raspberry Pi 7" Touchscreen - Capacitive, 60Hz by Jesse Carlson

great if you are looking for a small Pi 4 setup

This is a pretty good, versatile little monitor. The resolution isn't very high at 1280 x 800, but I think it's acceptable for a 10-inch screen. The viewing angles are the most impressive. I could watch it from every angle without any change in quality. The only issue I had with the screen was that it was very glossy. You need to pay attention to where it is placed in relation to the light sources. I'm willing to trade some level of shine in exchange for bright, rich colors, but it was too much. The monitor can be used as a housing for the Pi 4. The monitor's power button will also turn on the Pi 4 if held down for a few seconds. This makes it convenient to move around the house or take with you when traveling, and it leaves a fairly small footprint. The monitor also has a standard HDMI input, making it very versatile. The internal speaker quality was not very good, which is not surprising for such a small monitor. I didn't expect much. However, they are there if you have no other option, e.g. B. a Bluetooth speaker or a speaker on your laptop. Overall I am very impressed with this monitor. Maybe a bit pricey but using it with a Pi 4 will save you some money as you don't have to buy a case or power supply.

Pros
  • Compatibility with different operating systems makes it easy to connect to different computers.
Cons
  • The monitor is difficult to set up.
