When I first connected, the audio came from the headset but the microphone didn't work. I really had to put in some effort and now the mic seems to be working fine. So far it's working as intended. The mute button works, the volume control works. I like that the wire is lighter and longer than the original Cloud Alpha. The original was too short to connect to my computer. The wire seems less durable than the original wire. You have to look at wear and tear over the long term. For some, this may be a disadvantage when plugged into a controller and the extra length dangles. In general I'm happy with the purchase, the only downside on my part is the quality control when connecting the end of the cable to the headset, which should cut into the headset badly.
