Review on 🚿 Chrome Water Amplifying Shower Head - Delta 75153 by Leslie Little

Revainrating 5 out of 5

The best shower head (but read the full review first to understand!)

BUYER ATTENTION: There are 2 models of 75153. One with 1 hole, the other with 4 holes. (75153 with 4 holes is not like 75152. It looks the same as 75153SN but is silver instead of pewter.) Both have the same model number though. and packaging (certified for Home Depot). I don't know what the story is, but I would avoid the single hole model pictured here. I had it and like many others I sent it back. Not because it splashed water or was too cheap, but because it was a little "greedy" when water hit your body. That's when I settled on Incredible Shower Head (TISH). This was what I was using, but after about a year it was no longer up to par. I believe my water pressure was reduced due to external factors (not the showerhead). So the TISH just wasn't capable of satisfactory water pressure. I have compared it to many others looking for a replacement. Where TISH excels compared to others is the coverage. The widest and most tender drops of fat. But most of it felt like air, like fluffy rice muesli instead of crunchy muesli. Looking for pressure, I've also tried Moen Revolution, Power Massage (by Alson) and the 4-hole Delta 75153***. **. which I am reviewing here. The Delta (actually also made by Alsons) completely supplanted the others mentioned above. That is, Power Massage had a stronger pressure, but only in jet mode. This produced a hard, stinging shower experience with low coverage and tiny droplets. Moen, four times more expensive than Delta, was weak. The water whirled a little, big whoop. Still nowhere near TISH coverage. Delta didn't have the reach of TISH, but it was the perfect spread. Its drops were oily and gentle on the skin. Its pressure was decent but still not exactly what I was looking for. SO. until I modified it by taking out a weak water-saving insert that hurt performance. Then it looked like it. WOW! This modified Delta, at full power without the stupid water saving nonsense, was everything I hoped for and more! My bathroom turned into a presidential suite for Lyndon Johnson! It was like a controlled hurricane in the bathroom. Not only did I have fantastic pressure, but pressure with no pain! Does not burn, thanks to greasy drops of water. And thanks to the design of large holes, the head does not clog! I've tried many shower heads and I can tell you; Modified in this way, it will outperform most showerheads on the market at any cost. Perfect coverage, the pressure of a fire hose but no fatigue from stinging drops of water. Wash your hair in seconds. I don't know how much water he's using now, but I do know I ended up using less water than before. This is because at TISH I had both faucets on full all the time and the flow was weak. I can now do without hot and cold and still have an incredibly powerful shower that washes and flushes my body very well without having to use multiple shower heads or expensive European "rain shower" heads that don't have the same good pressure and skin feel. Even more amazing? All of this for less than $20. One of the best buys out there if you ask me. What if the mod adds a few bucks to your water bill at the end of the year? Who cares, **worth** it. There's nothing quite like a good, comfortable shower to help you feel rejuvenated.

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Not bad, but...
