Are you saying that for $100 I could fix all the sound quality problems on my PC? clearly inferior to the analogue. I know it's mostly a matter of taste, so that's my taste. I really like the sound of R2R and vinyl in music, it has a warmth and depth that fills the room. I always felt that PC sound was missing. I was skeptical about the purchase but decided to take a chance. I ended up spending over $100 on software and other products to try to make my music sound right. I was a big user of Winamp on PC, but then I discovered R2R and high quality vinyl and just couldn't go back. I've been using MusicBee along with Stereo Tool to get decent sound from my NVIDIA Hi FI Audio equipped Alienware R17 connected to an ONKYO surround sound receiver and it wasn't the best sound I could get never connect to the same receiver in analogue quality. Enter this little amp. A small box that comes with a tiny amplifier, two lightbulbs, a power cord and a USB cable. Okay little guy, especially compared to ONKYO's monster receiver, how much change can he make, right? I set up the lights and plug everything in, fire up the MusicBee, bypass the stereo tool, select the correct output and voila! I was amazed at the rich, full, crisp, incredible sound that came out! Same speakers, same reception, the only difference is the preamp! No EQ, no sound modification with any software, just USB streaming to the preamp! This is the best investment I've ever made! Can't tell it apart from R2R and vinyl! Get one of these asap!
