It's so gimmicky. It's so stupid. Why would anyone get this? The craziest part is that it's actually an amazing smart watch.I've looked at a lot of cheap smart watches, and yeah this is on the more expensive side for the category. The box wasn't very encouraging either, with a "NEW V08Pro" sticker slapped over the model number and no less than two quality control stickers actually holding the foamboard box closed, with two sets of slightly different English instructions included. Usually when I test a band like this I'll wear it in place of my current favorite, but my hopes were low enough that I wore it alongside. Then the data started coming in. It was about as accurate as my other cheap smart watches: sometimes reports heart rate as half when it's high, but otherwise not bad. Then sleep data: this is even more accurate than my other cheap smart watches, with solid reporting for waking in the middle of the night and returning to sleep, as well as more granular light/deep sleep tracking.I paired with Google Fit, expecting it to sync my steps like every other "Google Fit compatible" smart watch, and lo and behold it synced my heart rate too! Setting it up to measure every 10-30 minutes gives me a steady stream to track throughout the day, which is very nice! Still doesn't import sleep data, unfortunately, but that's an app issue.I was also surprised to see that it features a blood pressure monitor, which I didn't see in the listing! This is a great feature and I hate it when a smart watch doesn't have it. It also seems to be more accurate than my previous watch.I've tried the gimmicky headset mode, and it's fine. About average BT5 quality, but not something I'd use regularly. Maybe in an emergency.I've seen complaints about battery life on here, and yeah it drains fast. But it's not waterproof: hopefully you're showering every day, and it charges fast, so. I haven't had any issues with this. If you're worried about taking a charger with you while traveling, I've gone days without it needing to be charged. In fact I just got back from a four day trip and it's perfectly fine, maybe 30-40%. It would probably drain faster if you regularly used the headset mode though.Almost forgot to mention notifications! Yeah, this band with its small screen does that, and you can choose which of your installed apps to notify for (very useful, not all watches have this feature). Granted you can only see maybe a hundred characters of text, but still enough to figure out if it's worth pulling out your phone for.All in all, I came into this with absolutely no expectations and was completely blown away. Highly recommend if you can live with your watch also being a Bluetooth headset.
