Review on πŸ”Š Enhanced KEF KUBE 10b Subwoofer by Angie Hernandez

Revainrating 1 out of 5

Cheap materials and no sound quality

Wow what a disappointment. I just have great respect for KEF for its acoustic lines, especially. Bookcase columns, great British design. This subwoofer, on the other hand, is - and it's not being polite to say it - completely useless. I bought this at Revain for about $400 at a great price. As always great service from Revain. The device arrived and tested the Kube in a variety of settings - from a large living room to a small bedroom - and it never came to life. I did an A/B comparison with the cheapest SVS subwoofer, the SB-1000, which outperformed it by a lot, it's not even close. And understand, SVS will not even participate in the speaker comparison. To make matters worse, the dedicated auxiliary cable connector (RCA) is made of cheap, brittle plastic that breaks easily. Indeed Made in China - British design saves on materials. You get what you pay for and in the end I decided that $400 was too much for this device and sent it back to Revain. Big Takeaway: Trust KEF for their amazing speakers, but stay away from their subwoofers.

Pros
  • Cool
Cons
  • Makes me nervous
