For outdoor lighting (I use it for hunting) these clip-on adapters allow the use of car batteries to extend the life of the light. Connecting is the same as connecting a car battery, and connecting to anything that can be powered by a car charger simply plugs into the adapter. This setup is also a great solution for working outdoors in the dark, so you don't have to worry about being too far from an outlet. Great product and great price.
