My 2.5 year old Akita has been having some problems with dry skin and crusting. I know she has suffered from this in the past and thought I would try something before taking her to the vet. I even bought a medicated shampoo to try, but instead I did a little research and found that including fish oil and omega in her diet might help. So I found this product following suggestions from outside sources and started using it as soon as I received it. She is 90 pounds. and i fed them 2 in the morning and extra when i got home from work. After about 2-3 weeks I noticed that there was less and less scab and the dandruff receded. As I combed her hair and checked her skin, I noticed that the scab was healing. I'm reducing to 2 a day and will buy more when it runs out. Definitely a product I would recommend to pet owners with dry skin. It was my personal choice to try a few things and it worked for me. Skin issues can be hidden and require much more than omega gum to treat, so please do your own research and consult your vet if necessary.
