Update July 2021: Brick just died. My laptop shuts down due to low battery. I wiggled the cable, thinking it might be a bad connection. I unplugged the cable and checked it with a multimeter. There is no continuity on the line. And the line and neutral are reversed. It's possible that the components in the block are sending the correct polarity to the correct parts of the laptop connector, but that's clearly not working right now. Almost identical to the Asus device but without the company logo. It came with an adapter for laptops with a smaller port. I took it because I'm very lazy and just want to grab my laptop, throw it in my bag and go. So I leave the charger at home and carry it in my pocket.
