I bought these shoes specifically for water sports. Time will tell how long they last in the water. In terms of dry performance, it feels like a normal shoe - comfortable, good fit without socks, midsole is relatively firm (not like the Adidas Boost) for great grip. The heel counter is padded with non-slip gel dots, there's no insole, and the midsole is perforated to drain water and covered in mesh (which some find uncomfortable). The outsole has micro-cuts in the style of a Sperry boot. The tongue is partially attached.
