Review on Women'S Lace-Trimmed Cotton Cropped Sleep Shorts by Leah Ramirez

This is a lovely alternative to a slip. I didn't even know petty-pants existed. I was looking for a comfortable half-slip to wear under some of my very light-weight summer dresses. I was having a hard time finding something made of cotton like the ones I had when I was young. I guess slips aren't worn as often, anymore. I did try some of the slip-shorts that seem so popular right now, but I don't want the outline of my legs to be visible under a sheer dress. I found this brand by accident, and I am impressed with the fact that these are made of 100% cotton, but are still affordable. Plus, these petty-pants are even better than a traditional slip or half slip and there are so many choices of style & trim! I want one of everything.The petty-pants are all so beautiful, with the lace trim that I had a hard time choosing. I ended up with the #2 style. The cotton is very light-weight, which makes these great for hot summer days, but they do require a bit of TLC (hand-washing followed by line drying) and I am not a huge fan of ironing. Hanging them to dry on my clothesline on a breezy day does lessen the time I spend ironing, but these look best if they are at least lightly pressed. For this reason, I don't wear these to sleep in, and just save them for wearing with dresses. I am 5'4" tall and wear a size 14. I chose the size XL, and they fit well at the waist, feel cool and don't bunch up under my dress or skirt, which I was worried about (my nylon half-slips seem to crawl up my legs and sometimes I don't even realize it). It does get to be a lot of layers on those 100 degree + days, but otherwise I find these to work out great. Plus, they look so pretty if my dress or skirt is just a little bit shorter than the petty-pants (I like that rather vintage look). The elastic waistband is very narrow but I suppose if it was wider, it would add to much bulk right where I don't need it. The current price of $29.99 seems very reasonable and I'm very glad to have found these.
