Review on Sony Digital8 Metal Particle Cassette by David Sanchez

If you're browsing this item at all, you probably have an old camera that you're having trouble finding cartridges for. So it was with me. They didn't seem to be stocked everywhere, if Digital8 was stocked at all. Internet searches also revealed a surprising shortage of products, and those found were being sold for exorbitant fees. As the industry moves towards more modern media, even organizations like Sony seem to be making their older cameras irrelevant despite their superior durability and functionality, reducing the amount of tape on the market. Great product, perfect for my purposes, although much less economical than newer media (e.g. SD card) due to its affordability. Please note that using Hi8 cassettes for Digital8 cameras will significantly reduce recording time. Digital8 cameras roll tape faster than Hi8 cameras, capture data differently, and use more tape per minute of recording.
