For $50 you get a nice little multi-band radio. There are three differences between this device and the CCrane equivalent, Skywave. Skywave, a product for the US market, has 7 NOAA weather radio channels. Sihuadon/Radiwow not. R-108 gets DV, which is halfway useless. Skywave isn't. The third difference is $29.00. Both radios operate on AM/FM/SW/AIR bands. I also have Skywave, Skywave SSB and Tecsun PL-660. All four are good radio stations. R-108 is the best option. If you need NOAA weatherbands, get Skywave. If you need SSB, use the Tecsun PL-660. It's cheaper than Skywave SSB. Although the PL-660 is slightly larger than the other three, the larger driver delivers better sound. If size is your main concern, the Sihuadon/Radiwow R-108 is your best bet.
