I bought this pineapple dish after my previous one broke (it had a spring in its handle which apparently jumped out one day without my knowledge and was therefore much more difficult to handle was use). Bonus points: This one doesn't have a spring in its grip. However, mine had a very snug fit for the deployment handle the first few times, resulting in parts of the plastic handle and knobs being shaved off during deployment. However, it does a great job when placed in a pineapple. As others have pointed out, the wedge cutter isn't the sharpest to get good clean cuts, but it's made out of plastic so I don't know what else to expect from it.
