Good replacement for hitch accessories

2013 F150 Eco Super Crew 5.5' XL They were only fitted a few days ago but I like them so far. Unfortunately I haven't dragged them yet so I may update my review later but I think they will improve visibility around my followers much better than the series. I've had some of those cheap mirrors that attach to the standard mirrors but the problem with them was that they were almost impossible to adjust properly and they vibrated making it difficult to see anything. These new mirrors are much better. Here are a few things I don't like. The insulator pad was a lot smaller than the standard pad so I used a standard insulator but the new mirrors didn't seem to like being bolted to the old insulated doors. I used them anyway. I'm a bit concerned about water ingress, but so far it seems like the road noise is the same. However, my weatherproof door and door alignment is pretty bad so I get a lot of wind noise at high speeds. I would buy window deflectors if I didn't think they looked so stupid.2. I can feel a slight vibration in the mirrors, which sometimes distorts the image, but much better than the attached mirrors I've used before.3. I feel that there is not enough resistance when folding and unfolding the mirrors, which is probably why I have vibrations. But you can fold and unfold mirrors very easily, which I don't like. I would like more resistance. It's almost so easy that I was afraid they would flex on their own at high speeds. I hope that doesn't happen. The mirror pull-out resistance is good, not too hard and not too light. I can ask the passenger to roll down the window and with a little effort with one hand he can push the mirror apart. Overall I recommend this product even if you don't tow mirrors and never extend. I feel like they eliminated all of the blind spots that were pretty bad on my truck.

Pros
  • Towing mirror
Cons
  • Out of fashion
