I don't know what I was expecting for the setup hardware, but be aware that there is no framework or anything to line this up. What you get are some stickers (essentially 4 inch long masking tape) that you use after aligning the screen protector and use it as a hinge to *hopefully* realign the screen once it gets clean. I followed the instructions exactly, but in the end there were still two small grains of dust between the protective film and the screen. I gently lifted the edge closest to the stains and used one of the stickers provided to remove the dust from the protective film and then again. applied to find absolutely no air bubbles or remaining dust particles; Even the screen protector is magically perfectly aligned! My Surface 6 fits into my Incipio case without the screen protector making contact with any of the pinch points, so this screen protector should stay in place for as long as I need it. 3 stars for the installation, 5 stars for the end result. Would buy again.tl; dr: It takes some luck/dexterity to set it up perfectly, but it works great if you have the patience.
