They are way better than the clip on your shoe led lights I've been using for years. The coil inside that manages the winding seems pretty solid and isn't likely to wear out too quickly. There is only one LED at the beginning of the strip that shines through some sort of reflective material for its entire length, so it ends up not being as bright as it started. In general I think they will be good. I wish they would sell the colors in pairs and make them rechargeable instead of using button cells which are always hard to find in stores of the right size.
