I have an original Boogie Board that my grand daughter loves to draw on. I got one of these bigger ones for her instead. I notice that the pen is fatter tip (so not as detailed when writing) which is fine for a kiddo and I prefer the sharper pen tip on the BB for the notes I write. I initially had an issue with the product as it wouldn't erase (the battery seems to be the erase, not the draw). I replaced it (which is a weird CR2025 not CR2032 or CR2016 as most devices use by the way, so good luck finding one) but still didn't work. So after looking in the battery slot I saw a little metal thing, I bent it a bit with a small screwdriver and that seemed to do the trick. Now it works fine, so must not have been making proper contact (again, for a knockoff, I expect their quality control isn't as good as the original's). Overall it does what it does and it's definitely perfect for little kids so you aren't wasting paper and they can't draw on your counter/floors/couch with actual pen/ink/crayon etc.
