Terrific. Here's a hint!

They are great. We were the first coax manufacturers to use it to lay a new cable from our outdoor junction box to our panel. Don't say thank you to Cox. This review may be helpful if you have never done this before. We found them a bit more difficult to use than the ones that came with the Klein kit we used once we understood how they were constructed. Strip/Test/Crimp Kit VDV002-818 The small connectors in the kit were easy to use and very easy to install. As you would expect, they came as a set. As others have pointed out, these connectors are great here when weather protection is important, but require a bit more finesse than small connectors. Just a bit. First, as usual, we cleaned up the end, leaving exposed the center wire and a small area exposing the screen. The Klein Stripper is very easy to use. For the Mediabridge cable we had, these connectors required: 1. Peel back the protective wire braid and fold away from the end2. Peel off a layer of the hard protective film and peel off the end3. Bend the next layer of wire mesh away from the end 4. Now (while retaining some shielding) insert the wire into the inner connecting tube.5. Using some force, insert the wire into the connector until the plastic of the tip is flush with the base of the connector. The effort required for the last step was moderate. Consider rotating it slightly when feeding, attracting two people, or installing a connector so you can support your body weight. We've had enough hand feeding. Your mileage may vary. Only one was wasted trying to figure out the above, and subsequent installs were bulletproof when we figured out how to install on our particular cable (perhaps the whole cable? Don't know). The first thing we did was wasted because we stripped the entire shield, including the outer jacket, up to the point where the wire enters the connector. We have only guided the plastic core into the plug, which leaves too little room for gripping and squeezing the plug when it is installed. Will slide soon. Using the above method resulted in a good fit and appears to match the design. Hope that helps!
