Best Dell Question/Answer. Please.

I bought this laptop after carefully researching an ultraportable laptop. I chose the Intel Iris Pro 540 graphics for this particular build. I needed something thin, light but able to play older games like TF2 and CS:GO. After unpacking it and marveling at the good build quality, I started tweaking it. then I heard a noise. "Click, click, click" "Click, click, click" every 5 seconds "Click, click, click", I thought to myself. "Okay, don't panic, there are many more updates to come. Even a bios update! So I assumed that one of these updates would fix the problem. When I started updating it, it rebooted to start updating the BIOS. During a bios update, I kept hearing a frighteningly loud beep. I went to check it out and saw an error message saying my CPU fan was bad. Indeed. I'm a little annoyed. For once I want to buy something (electronic) and get it working. But no. I'll definitely be returning it and looking for something else. I'm giving it 2 stars because it's nicely made, has the right ports, good battery, Iris 540 graphics and a great display. However, I refuse to give it more stars than that when the CPU hits 105C right away. Also, for those wondering, mine also has this coil whine/electrical noise with heavy graphics usage. If my fan was running I might not have heard it or cared about something like gaming. I will try to buy it again.
