I gave my wife dozens of fans to choose from. She chose this one. It was an excellent choice. I think it's too big for a bedroom. Mainly because of the elaborate lamp. But it's beautiful. The installation was pretty standard for most ceiling fans/lights. The only flaw (that I found) in their instructions was that the small bell-shaped cover that fits over the shaft faces up instead of down. After two weeks of fan operation, we can't find anything to complain about. . I personally will replace the LED bulbs with something brighter. The included lamps are great for creating atmosphere and romantic lighting. However, if this is your main light source in the room, this is not enough. This fan motor is very compact, dustproof and efficient. The large engine cover is for beauty only. I ran the fan on all three speeds and it works very well and is very quiet on all three. I believe this fan will look great in any room where you want an early industrial deco look and great service. Five stars.
