UPDATE: Yugrin finally got back to me after a little over a week, but at least they replied. I will change my rating from 1 to 3 stars. It's still a pity that it doesn't work properly, namely for data synchronization. It might be a good idea for them to point out that this item doesn't work between powered USB hubs and a MacBook Pro. Ugreen are still making good products and I will continue to support them. I'm disappointed for several reasons: 1) It just didn't work as it should, ie for data transfer. I put it between an Anker powered USB hub and my MacBook Pro and it doesn't work. I have an old UGreen USB cable that works fine, but it requires a USB-C adapter, so I wanted to replace it with this version. Although the data transfer should work, the devices on the hub are not even displayed. 2) I contacted UGreen about this but a week later they still have not responded. This is my biggest disappointment with them. I like their products but I will happily switch to another brand if there is no support. 3) The quality of the cable seems very poor compared to some of their older cables. It's thin and looks rather thin. It doesn't work for my application anyway, but that was a disappointment too. i will return it
