I am a spin instructor and was looking for a budget bike to practice on at home. The bike is advertised as magnetic resistance but it is not. It uses friction. That means there is a felt pad that rests on the flywheel and controlled by a screw knob to create drag/resistance. The pad will ultimately wear and need to be replaced. It is a bit noisy, squeaks, at a heavier resistance settings due to the friction. Disappointing when you think you are ordering one thing and received another.Incredibly

I chose this particular bike based on the key features of magnetic resistance, belt drive, and a heavy flywheel. Those features help ensure the bike will be quiet and also similar to more professional grade cycles you might find in a gym. This bike is completely silent when using it, which is great. It was easy to assemble with clear directions. I am a 5’ 6” female and it is very comfortable to use. There’s several ways to adjust it to make it fit to your needs. The electronic screen is no frills; it keeps track of your distance, speed, time, RPM, and calories burned. Overall I am very happy with this exercise bike and use it every day!

I've only had it a short time but seems good so far. It wasn't hard to assemble. Some of the features are super basic but considering the cost of the machine I can't complain. The resistance dial isn't gym precise and neither is the display, but I'd have gotten something else if I was training for the Olympics. The metal was bent and I would have to repackage the bike to return it (I cut the box to unpackage it and cut all the plastic packaging to remove parts and tool. So repackaging to return would have been a hassle).Edit: since my husband was able to repair the bent metal on the bike, the company offered to compensate me for the trouble so I kept the bike. So far I like the bike, smooth ride and the higher resistance is great for Spin-type classes. I would recommend contacting the company directly

I joined the Great Cycle challenge last year. So I bought a schwin bicycle. Which ended up being a nightmare. I was taking the bike to the shop on a regular basis. I took some time to research different bikes and was actually hesitant to purchase this one because the price was low (didn't want to sacrifice quality). I am SO glad I went for it! Easy to assemble and I've been using it several times a week for about six months with absolutely no problems. Just a heads up. I'm 5'11" and have the handlebars on max height, so im not sure how this would work with people over 6'. Completely satisfied!
