These are small natural loofah sponges with an integrated cotton cord for hanging. The small size fits my hand well, but I have a tiny hand. I felt they were better for washing feet or exfoliating feet, but they are a bit small for a shared shower. it just took too long. The texture of loofah is hard when dry but softens slightly when wet. You scrubbed well. The hanging cord is very small, so it is not convenient to hang it over the shower faucet. You may need a small hook or add your own longer cord. I live in Florida, where cotton cord gets moldy very easily (because nothing ever dries out here!), so I prefer polyester cord. i know i'm a monster Three small sponges are individually wrapped in plastic bags and packaged in an attractive burlap gift pouch. No chemical smells. This is a very gift.
