I've tried several third-party cables for my Surface Book over the years. Some of them got too hot and smelled like melting plastic. Others began to wear out after just a few weeks or even days of light use. The cable seems designed to wear out quickly - they all fail in the same place (right under the magnetic connector that plugs into the Surface). Even Microsoft's own cables don't last long. The first cable I ordered from this seller was not stable. If it was folded in a certain way, the charging was stopped. I messaged the company about the problem and they quickly sent me a free replacement without me having to worry about shipping the first one back. The replacement worked great and lasted longer than any other third-party Surface cable I've had. , and longer than any of Microsoft's cables. When it finally started to wear out I didn't hesitate to order another one from this seller. I've been using it for several months with no problems. It's hard to find a good and durable Surface cable. This is the best I've found.
