Review on 🍵 Hamilton Beach Electric Tea Kettle - 1.8L Cordless Water Boiler with Auto-Shutoff & Boil-Dry Protection - Black (K6080) by Gary Stringfield

I printed a return label for this Hamilton Beach Kettle. Very disappointed that it is 100% plastic (which was NOT mentioned in the product description). I'm against putting anything hot in plastic. Whether it's cooking/heating/cooking anything in plastic, I avoid it completely. The first batch of water (prior to 1st use) boiled and then turned off as expected. It smelled like chemicals while cooking and lingered on a chemical/plastic smell as it was drained into the sink. I was already dissatisfied with boiling water in plastic, but the unpleasant chemical smell of plastic influenced my immediate decision to return it. I will look into another stainless steel or glass. Despite my decision, this will work for those who don't mind boiling water in a plastic kettle. But it will never be for me no matter what.
