Diagonal lighting is the bomb!

Growing up, my mom used to tell me to leave the lights on when I watched TV, and it turns out she was right. There are many articles on the subject, but generally you don't want the stark contrast between a bright TV and a dark room. I noticed an immediate improvement after installing the Antec lightstrip. The color temperature is the correct 6500K, which is important for optimal results. It's meant to be glued to the back of the TV as a single strip, but since we have a 42" screen I had to turn the ends down at a 90 degree angle. It wasn't a problem and it actually looks better. The on/off switch is handy as the light is not needed during the day. The light bar also turns on and off with the TV. I wish I had had that light years ago, I'm sorry mom I should have listened.

Pros
  • Durable finish
Cons
  • Poorly thought out
