Real leather! Yess!ES makes them from "faux leather" that is very pleasant to the touch. They are sharp and uncomfortable. I did a lot of research on my size for the real leather version, and here's why: I have severe pain in the upper part of the foot in sneakers due to the high instep. With elastic laces and an easy-to-adjust Velcro strap, these shoes help me get through the day without having to toss my shoes across the room after 2 hours. Lol Even with velcro they don't look awkward. The sides around the ankle are raised too high.
