Review on Continental PremiumContact 6 215/55 R17 94V summer by Janis Ziemelis ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

It's the best purchase I ever made, I will definitely do it again.

205/55R16 91V tires. Before purchasing, read the reviews of these tires. My assessment of the drawbacks mentioned by various observers is as follows: 1. Noise: I can claim that PC6 tires are virtually inaudible on flat pavement, and on uneven pavement they don't create any more noise than the majority of other tires with a similar speed index and are unquestionably quieter than my old PremiumContact 5. 2. Weak sidewall - people who complain about this should look at the road and refrain from hopping over curbs and potholes. the same "opera"'s punctures. Only the monolithic tires used on specialized machinery are unafraid of side cuts and punctures. Look for tires with greater load for a little extra protection; these tires have thicker sidewalls and stronger carcasses. 3. Hydroplaning: At high speeds, no tire can avoid floating in puddles. The best summer tires with a directional tread pattern "float" at 80 km/h when driving through a few centimeter-deep puddle at 70–75 km/h. 4. Although this is a drawback, it also serves as a sign of good tire grip and self-cleaning. Stones are caught by the tire and thrown into the arches. Driving over gravel with the PC6 does not require listening to the "clatter" of stones lodged in the tread, unlike tires I previously had. Other tires are required for mud and gravel roads. The PremiumContact 6 tires are great for people who travel on common routes. If you don't engage in "racer" behavior, the tires will hold the road perfectly at non-penalty speeds whether it is dry or wet. Zero is clearly felt on the steering wheel, the tires do not squeal when turning, the acceleration and braking are better than on most other tires of comparable size, and the road bumps are rather mild. And if this isn't the case, you should see a car service to fix the problem rather than blaming the tires. Therefore, you can safely take PremiumContact 6 if money is an issue and there is no fanaticism toward particular tire brands or models.

Pros
  • Controllability. Road traction at its best. Quiet.
Cons
  • It wasn't located.
