Fantastic ink pad - beautiful color

Ranger's Archival ink pads are my favorite ink pads. Brilliant and natural colors you would expect from the lid, they are very easy to use. The raised ink pad allows you to apply ink of any size and shape quickly and easily. The raised pad encourages ink-on-paper and blending techniques, plus any additional techniques you might want to try. Waterproof and smudge proof. I love this line because the colors are and stay vibrant and rich. The ink is not difficult to remove from stamps (leaves stains). However, it will leave decorative stains on your hands for a few days. I've found that most archived stamp pads are so lavish that they can sometimes be used for embossing as well. They are clearly marked PIGMENT and embossing usually requires a PIGMENT pad, but I've used them for embossing and got the best results on glossy paper. Conclusion: I consistently get amazing results from these pads without too much mess. With them, you can print and use all kinds of materials via ink without fear of smearing or fading. If the pad is too succulent and carries over onto your project, either use Succulence to add a random emboss or hit the area with a heat gun for a few seconds. Make sure the heat gun is at least 4-6 inches away from your project and keep the stream of hot air moving or you risk bubbling ink or catching fire. This ink pad arrived quickly with Prime shipping and stood up. Okay, despite all the insults I hurled at him, I'm ready and waiting for more. Great purchase that I would recommend. Tip: Store your ink pads upside down so they rest on the lid and not the bottom. to use and you'll get a better impression with more ink. Storing your blocks upside down will ensure your blocks last a long time. :)

Pros
  • High test results for hold and durability
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
