This monitor generates an insane amount of electrical noise. I bought a new set of studio monitors because I'm starting to create DAW songs. I've spent the last week trying to figure out why my studio monitors (Presonus Eris E5) are picking up extremely loud electrical noise when idle. I even bought an AUX to male dual XLR cable which reduces the noise a bit but not completely. Tonight I unplugged the power cord from the monitor and the noise is gone. If I can't find a filtered power cord to try, I'll either have to try another pair of studio monitor speakers in hopes they're internally shielded, or replace this monitor.
