I use it for work all the time (I'm a youth librarian) and it has made my projects so much easier. I can't cut a straight line and this paper cutter makes it so easy to cut precisely measured lines. It also has a foldable "blade" which I used. The base expands as you work with larger paper, and since it's 12 inches long, it even fits large sheets of paper. My only complaint might be that the small blade case is on the bottom. I think a drawer would be better. Also changing the blades is very easy and the blade never moves when I'm cutting.
