Review on OtterBox Symmetry Case IPad 11 Inch Tablet Accessories by John Love

Wanted to love it, left with mixed thoughts.

After purchasing the new iPad Pro 11, finding a protective case was a no-brainer. I have exclusively used OtterBox cases on all my iPhones and iPads. I wanted to love this case, but unfortunately it wasn't (pun intended). Personally, I'm not a fan of clear lids as they could have accidental lint or something else that could somehow get lodged between the back of the case and the product. It wasn't a big problem, but my two big problems were; 1- The durability of the lid itself was not the best. I had it in a laptop case in my backpack and with minimal pressure from items in my bag it caused damage/dents to the lid. Yes, it protected the case, but it didn't feel like the OtterBox's high quality. I don't think things should get that bad. 2- The magnets are pretty bad. I may have had an accident, but I was never able to successfully fold the front cover all the way down. It always wants to fall. Also, when used as a stand, it kept folding on itself, putting the screen up. OtterBox usually puts out a quality product, but this was a failure for me. I went back to the Apple cover, which seems to work best as a plain cover.

Pros
  • Microfiber lining covers the screen and magnets activate sleep and wake modes
