Revainrating 3 out of 5

Make sure you know where you want them!

The device itself is very good and can be rated 5 stars, except for the reason below. But as for the light itself, as advertised they work with just enough light to illuminate an area without being too bright, which can result in serious loss of night vision like at night. In my case they are used on the landing for night time use when I want to go downstairs but don't want to turn on all the lights. The lights come with a small metal disc per bulb with tape attached. You tear a piece of paper off the disc and place it where you want the light to come from. The light is then attached to this small disc with a magnet, making it easy to remove the light to charge. All of that is good. The big problem and the reason for only 3 stars is that the glue used is VERY AGGRESSIVE. Once you've attached it to a wall, it won't come loose without badly damaging that wall by peeling a piece of paint off it. In my case at least, it's not just a small stain, it actually stripped the paint down to the drywall, which would require fixing the wall to smooth it out and then repaint it. This metal disk is also no longer usable, at least not with the supplied adhesive. . To use the disc again you have to scrape off the old glue (NOT easy) and then use your own glue to stick to the metal. Since there is no other way to install the light than this disc, you must follow these steps or the light will be useless. I would recommend either using a less aggressive glue or at least including a couple of extra discs that can be used if the light needs to be moved. I STRONGLY RECOMMEND ANYONE GETTING THIS TO USE THE TEMPORARY MOUNTING METHOD SUCH AS TAPE TO CHECK THE POSITION YOU WILL PLACE IF YOU ARE NOT SURE WHERE YOU WILL PUT THEM. THEN TRY A TEMPORARY HOLD FOR (AT LEAST) A FEW DAYS. One final note on battery life. I haven't used them long enough to judge battery life. We've been using it for about a week, and with a few lights on maybe twenty times a day (the hallway is at the back of the house and is dark even during the day) they seem to be holding a charge well. Will update the review if I find anything else later.
