2.5 " IDE hard drives do not fit

For 3.5" IDE and SATA hard drives, this item is perfect. The read/write speeds meet all my expectations and it performs like a champ. But 2.5 inch laptop IDE hard drives will NOT fit in the slot. They only fit if I take the dock apart and cut 1/8 inch of the plastic off the slot to allow the hard drive case to fit. Had an extension cord been included the drive would have been fine, but molding is wrong on every IDE laptop drive I own. every 30
