I used them to hang LED strips on the bedroom ceiling. Initially I placed them about every 20 inches on a latex painted surface that had been cleaned with alcohol. After about a week and a few days in 80 degree weather, about half were no longer stuck to the wall. I have outweighed them by about 14 inches and for the last 6 months they have also survived 80 degree heat with no problem. They fit the bandwidth perfectly and don't look flashy. They are opaque and the LED doesn't shine through well; They should not be over the LED chip on the tape.
