I bought these for my 90 year old mother. She's left handed and has arthritis so I figured it would be easy for her to use. They arrived today and after quilting with them for a few hours I realized I needed my own pair and had to order another. I've been using conventional thread cutters for a number of years. These are way better. They are lighter and the grip point is much further away than traditional scissors, giving you a lot more leverage and requiring less effort to cut the line. The blades are also cupped so I can get close to the fabric and easily cut off the many small burrs on open edge appliques. And titanium is good!
