I go in any temperature, rain, snow, freezing temps, you name it, and I walk in it. I prefer outdoor walks by the water to treadmills or ellipticals and I needed something for those cold, windy days. The scarf is amazing! The material on the inside of the scarf and hat is very warm, I wear them in sub-zero temperatures and I don't complain at all. The gloves work surprisingly well considering they look and feel so thin, but they kept my hands warm pretty well. They work with smartphones, but I had to press a little harder than usual to get the phone off the hook and they struggle to keep my hands warm when temperatures drop below 30 degrees. For the very cold temperatures we've been getting lately, or for people who always have very cold hands, I would suggest getting a pair of warm fingerless gloves and wearing them over them.
